Day 0 … v2
So this is it…
Me, sitting down, on my desk here at my grandparents’ place, with a slightly sweaty back after literally coming from a Pokemon GO run and realizing that barely anyone even logs on as frequently as this impulsive personality of mine.
I really wanted to do this, for a long time, and this is not even the first intro. I mean, as we speak, I’ve literally deleted the intro I worked on for like half an hour and previously decided on to push. I guess it was way too emotional and not really Ikigai-oriented (if you know the reference).
Now, *clears throat
Journal101 is not a generalized series I plan to do like a lot of other dev.to or even Medium writers. It’s a place where I want to seemingly blend my experiences, and some especially curated towards my readers, in order to portray a more rational view towards Computer Science as a subject. Don’t get me wrong though, I’ll be learning for the next four years, and even though this series will be complete way before that, I want it to be a calibration ground for myself and for anyone who is reading in order to link nice resources with nice convenience.
I really did want to share my life experience more, however, and that’s why I had written the first intro. But, it would’ve been too emotional and way too much geared towards my ADHD style. So, I guess we need to reduce that quite a bit…
I’ve been programming for seven years now, and its surprising to tell but I’ve worked on apps and high-level platforms more than I’ve worked on low-level, systems stuff which, somehow, I want to pursue more of? However, even though I have leaned more towards systems in the last two years, Journal101 will be my trajectory-correction ground for anyone who is interested in reading and learning with me.
And, this book will always be a work-in-progress read. If you are interested in elaborating on anything that’s in it, consider dropping by the Discord server I’ll be linking here once I’m done setting it up.
I hope I’ll be of some sense xD (oh yeah and I’ll also use some text-emoticons)
text-emoticon glossary:
- xD -> laughing face
- :D -> happy (although a certain someone identifies this as a shocked face)
- ^w^ -> happy (for real this time)
- :< -> sad
NOTE: This is just a part of the actual glossary. You may check it out for any term you might not understand but want to.
some words of faith: I used Apple Notes and Zed while writing this. Obsidian’s fancy.
